For those like me who enjoyed the original Dungeon Keeper games, it will please you to know that its spiritual successor, War for the Overworld, has reached its Kickstarter goal. What should please you even more though, is that having reached the £225,000 stretch goal, original Dungeon Keeper mentor, Richard Ridings will be returning as the narrator in War for the Overworld.

Ridings has already taken part in some of the early trailers for the project, but having reached the stretch goal however he is now set to star in the full game. As if this game isn’t full of nostalgia enough! To get those nostalgia glands flowing, here is the man himself celebrating the news.

A reader by the name of Timmy_Tim (good name, that) has written in to alert us to War for the Overworld, a Kickstarter-drive for a Dungeon Keeper-esque underground lair management simulator. It’s currently at £84,057 of its £150,000 goal, and with 12 days to go there’s a good chance it could make it with a bit of pushing.
