Con Artists

Here at iiNode we look after our own, and when Internode’s Daniel Roberts told us that he and his team of video game and internet-meme themed a cappella artists were performing at this year’s Fringe Festival, why, we were only too happy to share this news with the world.

You can catch Daniel and the Con Artists at The Pad from 7-9th March.

Shows start at 7:30 PM each night and tickets can be purchased  online and at Fringetix outlets. Get along and support your local a cappella!

Dishonored

Adelaide’s The Pad bar is set to play host to an official, Bethesda-approved Dishonored Masquerade Party this Friday night from 6PM onwards. The Pad — formerly known as The Pimp Pad — will be giving out prizes and giveaways all night, including a ‘best dressed’ prize, a ‘best mask’ competition, and a bunch of other wacky steampunk-themed goods.

Attendees are asked to arrive wearing “elegant and fantastical costumes with steam technology aesthetics”, with Dishonored-themed drinks available all night. Click here for a gander at the invitation and, if you’re going, leave us a photo of your mask!

PiMP Pad is Not PiMP Any More

The establishment formerly known as The Pimp Pad would like you to know that they’ve just successfully applied for their liquor license and are now rebranding themselves to match. The newly-reopened “Pad Gamers Bar and Lounge” is now open for business in Adelaide, focusing on a more mature and responsible crowd.

“The PiMP PAD has changed its name to The Pad Gamers Bar & Lounge in accordance with the court’s decision and is moving its entrance from Franklin Street to Morialta Street,” reads the press release. “We are altering our operating schedule to ensure a safe and positive venue for all gamers. The venue will serve liquor from 6pm on weekdays and from midday on weekends.”

There’s an official launch event happening on the 14th of September and sponsored by Razer – you can find all the details here on Facebook.
