Grand Theft Auto IV

Perhaps to celebrate the announcement of the next game in the franchise, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition is on sale on Steam. Usually setting you back about $30, The Complete Edition, which includes all DLC is now $7.50, a huge 75% off. It is, in fact, the same price the buy the game without any of the DLC. So there you have it — it is, appropriately, a steal.

If you already own the game and just need to pick up the DLC though, they are also on sale. Episodes from Liberty City would usually cost you another $20 on its own, but is now down to just $5.

So if you’ve been putting off buying this one, or are suddenly interested due to the announcement of the next game, now is the time to buy! The sale will contine for the next 44 hours after the time of writing, so just under two days. Get purchasin’!

Steam Halloween Sale

Want to get your mitts on some great new games, but don’t want to pay non-spooky prices? The Steam Halloween Sale is here to help, with a number of frankly ectoplasmic specials. Until October 31st, you can grab games like Dead Space 2 for $17.49, the critically-acclaimed scariest-game-of-all-time Amnesia: The Dark Descent for $4.99, and the zombie-riffic Left 4 Dead 2 for $4.99 as well.

There’s also Prototype 2 down to $34.97 at 50% off, F.3.A.R at $4.99, Bioshock 2 for $4.99 and The Darkness II, which Toby recently described as one of the most horrific, awesome games ever made, is down from $89.99 to $22.49.

Check out all the bargains for yourself over at the Halloween Sale page.

Battlefield Logo

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the Battlefield series and, to celebrate, EA are having a sale! The primary game of interest for many will of course be Battlefield 3, which is on sale for a paltry $20 (although not nearly as paltry as the $10 our US friends are paying for it).

You’ll also find savings across the rest of the Battlefield range: Bad Company 2 AND Bad Company 2: Digital Deluxe Edition are both $10 (bizarre), and Battlefield 2142 is also down to $10.

The sale runs until September 24.

Planescape

If this morning’s news about old-school RPG’s has got you excited to get back into a bit of old-school RPG action, then you’re in luck: Good Old Games are having a sale on… well, on old-school RPG’s.

The ‘Diamonds of D&D’ collection includes Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2, The Temple of Elemental Evil, D&D: Dragonshard, The Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone and Planescape Torment, all for a hilariously cheap $30.00.

Due to the bizarre and incomprehensible way discount mathematics works, it’s actually cheaper to buy The Temple of Elemental Evil as a part of the package, even if you don’t want it. Just something to bear in mind.
