I’m no rocket surgeon, but when the company that holds the rights to the Fallout series registers a trademark for “an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world”, even I can put two and two together and make five.

This news of course follows the reveal from last week that the voice actor who plays the part of Three Dog in Fallout 3 claimed “there may be more of the Dog coming”, and that he was “given permission to release that tease”.

So! Fallout TV show or miniseries, then. Let’s all sit back and practice our ‘surprised’ faces for when the official announcement rolls in.

Three Dog

It’s not quite the same as a Fallout 4 announcement, but Erik Todd Dellums, the voice actor behind Fallout 3‘s Three Dog has teased on his Twitter feed that there may be more releases in the works.

“To all my #Fallout3 and #ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming,” he wrote. “Fingers crossed!”

“How was that for a tease!” he later added. “I was given permission to release that tease, so fingers crossed.”

Fire up your Specula-Tron, folks — Fallout 3 movie, or new Fallout game? Or really, really late Fallout 3 DLC?

Fallout: New Vegas

An industrious and dedicated fellow over at Rusted Logic is going through the content cut from Fallout: New Vegas and not only cataloguing and collating it, but working to restore most of it as well.

There is a lot of strange and interesting stuff that was cut from the final game, but the aforementioned fellow ‘Moburma’ wants you to know this isn’t a criticism of the game. “F:NV is very much a polished and FINISHED game. [...] Obsidian had a very short period of time to make this game, and it’s clear they budgeted their time very precisely. They delivered twice the content of Fallout 3 in HALF the time, and frankly made a much more interesting game to boot,” he states. “It’s clear that F:NV was tightly controlled during its development, and much of the stuff mentioned below was removed because it was irrelevant or just plain not very good. This isn’t some failure on their part; in fact it’s proof of their professionalism in that they knew when to cut their loses working to a tight deadline.”

Check out his list of cuts over here and if you’re interested in seeing the full game in all its glory, check out his mods of the cuts over here.
