The creators of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy may have devised the medium’s most cringeworthy moniker, but they certainly can’t be faulted for their continuing support for the game itself. Almost two years after this FPS/RPG hybrid arrived, French developer Streum on studio has just issued a massive update for the game.

Amongst the new features are two adversarial modes known as Battle Royale and Team Artefact. The former is a round-based free-for-all in which “the last man standing wins” while the latter appears to be a capture the flag variant. Players can also look forward to six new maps and four co-op missions.

The expansion, dubbed Blood Games, will also include dozens of balancing adjustments and big fixes, ranging from the minor (“sound of the sentry could be looped in some circumstances) to the rather more significant (“dedicated server didn’t run the map chosen during setup”).

In what can only be described as a major oversight, the main game is still called E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy. You can check out the full list of updates here.

Streumon Studios have sent word that the upcoming ‘Blood Games’ DLC for E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy has been dated for Tuesday April 23. The DLC brings two entirely new PVP modes as well has a bunch of changes to the core game and bug fixes.

Check out the video below to see the PVP in action.

You can see the full patch notes in this earlier news post. If that looks good to you, E.Y.E is only $10 on Steam.

EYE Divine Cybermancy

Streumon Studios have sent word that the Blood Games DLC, which will add much-awaited PVP to E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, is on its way soon.

The Blood Games PVP will include two modes: Battle Royal, a last-man-standing fight, and Team Artifcact where you and your team have to transport an artifact into the enemy’s control zone for victory.

The DLC will also include a huge swath of changes to the core game, including animation and texture improvements, hacking AI changes, crash bug fixes and much more. If you haven’t had a chance to play E.Y.E, this might be just the time to jump in and see if its unique blend of Deus Ex-style FPS/RPG action is right for you. Plus, hey! It’s only $10.
