Steam Big Picture Sale

Steam’s Big Picture Mode, designed to allow you to play your high-powered PC games on the big screen of your comfortable loungeroom, has now officially left beta. You can now find it in the top-right corner of your Steam client, ready to deploy once you’re all hooked up.

To celebrate, Steam are having a sale on their “most controller friendly” games, including Mark of the Ninja for $10, Portal 2 for $5, Left 4 Dead 2 for $4.99, and Space Marine (which plays much better with a controller) for $7.50. Hit up the link for all the deals.

If you’re looking at putting together a new small-form PC to take advantage of Big Picture Mode, why not check out this build guide?

Steam Big Picture

Most of our systems are abhorrently large, chock full of multiple hard drives, enormous PSUs, giant graphics cards stuffed inside solid aluminum cases. Generally, its also unlikely there’s a place on your TV cabinet for it to sit, and even if there was, do you really want to be trafficking it around just so you can play Sleeping Dogs on your 55-inch Samsung? Neither do I. So I did a bit of digging and set myself a challenge – can I build a decent Steam Box for less than $600?
