We reported back in August that a new ‘refresh’ of the Army of Two franchise was in the works, ’The Devil’s Cartel’. Now at the VGAs over the weekend, a trailer for this new instalment was released.

Well, it certainly looks pretty, and it does look fun, but… okay, that’s pretty much all there is to say about it at this point. If you’re interested, there’s another trailer over here featuring Hip Hop artists Big Boi and B.o.B talking about their experiences doing the voice acting for the game. They also collaborated on the game’s theme song, ‘Double or Nothing’.

EA has announced today that a new installment in the Army of TWO franchise, The Devil’s Cartel, is in development at Visceral Studios, makers of Dead Space. The game is not quite a reboot – more like a refresh of the series – that sees you playing as new characters ‘Alpha’ and ‘Bravo’, operatives in the PMC Salem and Rios founded at the end of last game, ‘Tactical Worldwide Operations’ (T.W.O.). Alpha and Bravo have been dropped in the mean streets on Mexico to “unleash the ultimate power of destruction” in the middle of a drug war, full of intrigue and backstabbery. Objectives will unravel, allegiances will blur, and the only person you’ll be able to rely on is yourself. And that other guy.
