"I can't breath! What do I do?!"

Astronauts attempt to return to earth after debris crashes into their space shuttle, leaving them drifting alone in space.

IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1454468/

This looks Intense! Looking forward to this.

By Alfonso Cuarón: the director, co-writer and co-editor of Children of Men, also co-producer of Pan's Labyrinth - could be fantastic. :)

No so keen on Sandra Bullock, though... she annoys the hell out of me.

Was originally going to be Angelina Jolie (meh)... then Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman before getting the Bullock. The male lead was to be Robert Downey Jr, before they settled on George Clooney. Shame really, seems they reached the bottom of the barrel in terms of casting.

I think both Clooney and Bullock can be brilliant, but are often average, hopefully they get it together for this.

Came to post this just now, based on the trailer that's going to be SPECTACULAR in 3D. Hella shades of Heinlein's "ordeal in space", always wanted them to film something like that with real "oh ****" in space.

I've been put off seeing this.
Being stuck in space for the entire length of a movie doesn't really make me interested in seeing it.

What did you enjoy about it?

Reviewers have been going absolutely NUTS for this movie. Someone I read even said that Bullock was an absolute lock for an Oscar win - which I found rather surprising. If it's true, it might make Mekon's above statement rather amusing in hindsight :P

I don't see it as being that different to a movie only set on a mountain, a research station, a jungle etc, but in saying that, this movie wouldn't work in another environment, it's rather integral to the story.

What i enjoyed about it is I found it to be gripping from start to end, and for the few actors that are on screen, they carried i with some fantastic performances, even from actors I don't care a huge amount for, as I said earlier in the year for the trailer, they can be damn good, and they are here. The cinematography and directions were also fantastic, there's honestly not really any one thing I liked, but that said, there's nothing I didn't like.

Won't be for everyone, but I very much think it's worth the 90 minutes of your life.

Well if it's similar quality to Children of Men then it's going to be good.

Mind you that had Clive Owen in it, and he makes any movie more awesome.
