It's been down for 4+ months. There's an ongoing issue with the contractual obligations of the cable ship... or something. Either way, don't expect anything soon.

Pretty much, long story short some permits have not been signed due to a change in law that all work performed in Indonesian waters must be by an Indonesian owned and operated ship....problem is Indonesia doesn't own a ship that is capable of the work (or something like that).

What is the expected latency from Brisbane with this link running?

I'm sitting around 230 now on both Singapore and American gateways.

My ping has gone down but now its jumping all over the place ranging from 120 - 300 whereas before it was it was a steady 220.

Fixed enough anyway :)

IIRC they still have a segment to go but it doesn't affect us as much for connections to Singapore. Hopefully they won't have to power down the cable for it.

Saw that tweeted earlier, dave. Very excited to try it, see how it goes versus the US based one!
