Arma 3 Beta is now available on the dev branch. Might want to back up your profile first though since it'll reset things.
Edit: it's awesome.

Can't wait to see how many people land without gear in the Ghosthawk and AH-99.

I was annoyed about the 3D scopes but i'm warming to them if it means people can't snipe as easy as before. Hopefully they will apply this to inside tanks and chopper monitors.

I usually play sector control on ahoy world and some basic warfare variant on some french server. Tend to be fuller at 3am so change your sleeping habits.

For those wondering why their weapon resting is not working, CBA is the cause of this and Sickboy and co have updated it claiming to have fixed it, I have not checked so please don't rage if found to be of no help.

Great stuff from kju

Its kinda nice to see Sahrani and other A1 islands in A3

Maybe I'll give A1 campaign a go when the project is stabilised in the future :!:

Hopefully custom islands/ contents will be more popular in A3.
New intel available.

Not if BIS continue to ignore making mods downloadable in game when joining servers. I'm not saying that a mod has to run without at restart but obtaining the mod needs to be simpler, and no I don't want to install some third party tool to do it.

My mod folders are several GB in size, I wouldn't want to download them via a server. And what's wrong with 3rd party apps?

I really can't see why they couldn't add a prompt to ask you if you wanted to download. I find the apps to be a blight on my computer something I only use once to get some obscure mod that I'll never use again.

I don't see why it would effect you and your mod folders. It still adds them in the same place it just cuts out the searching/digging when you join a new server that runs custom mods.

So the A3 beta seems pretty stunning, particularly the night ops. Mmm anyways, back to men of war...

Yea was about to write my little impressions of A3 beta

Combined Arms showcase wasn't too bad, I'm quite impressed that AIs can now detect and shoot you through the little gaps between some HESCOs.
Was surprised how many bloody AIs were running outside the base :?
Lost all my men after the APC decided to do a suicidal run.
Couldn't do it without the APC so I'm not going to do it again.

The village defence and FAC missions were a bit more relaxing.
Couldn't be bothered to mess with the boat, did anyone take it out successfully?

The worst to me would be the Night Showcase
What kind of stealth mission in 2030s does not let you bring a NVG with you?
And its hilarious that the explosives make beeps when its getting placed
So the AIs would of heard "beep beep beep" whenever theres a saboteur trying to place explosives around them IRL

3D scopes aren't as satisfying as I thought, the outside shouldn't be zoomed in as well.
I reckon recoil is quite punishing without weapon resting at this stage.

offtopic: men of war assault squad? I've gone back to this game lately
New intel available.
