In all seriousness though, I would love to hear from the publisher about this so called "local retailer feedback" they have got to justify the online price rise.

So basically they are overcharging for it online to get people to buy it in-store? That's the only reason I could see..

Is each person making an account on GMG and trying to buy it themselves?

You can't buy a game three times on Steam either :\
Just get each player to make their own account, and if you give them a referral lil you'll each earn credit towards a future purchase as well. Seems like a fine thing to me!

Yes you can with Steam. I have two kids with their own computers that I buy their copies with my account and then gift them to their own Steam accounts. Simple and smart that most of my friends use as well for their families.

GMG may be cheaper for some games but it wont let you have multiple accounts from the same household. I even tried to set up their own accounts which i could, but it wouldn't let me pay for the game more then once. It blocks it, either by ip or by bank. Even with Paypal it fails.

Its owned by the British so I guess that explains a lot. Great partnership GON
