Ah awesome Sathias. I've seen him both with The Bad Seeds and Grinderman. Great nights at both. Really talented performer. :)

Was anyone there last night or seen him in other states? I was prepared for a good gig but holy ****, they absolutely smashed it last night. They did 4 songs from the new album then did classics, they did Stagger Lee for the first encore which complete tore the roof off the place. Deanna, Jubilee Street, Red Right Hand and The Mercy seat were also highlights.

The other thing that really stood out was the sound engineering, prob the best I've heard for a live gig ever. Loud as hell and bass that you could feel in your sternum, but clear enough that you could hear and understand every word of Nick's lyrics. Good stuff :)

Good to hear he put on a great show, Nick Cave is a class act, if he came to my town I'd definitely go and see him play again. I saw him in Sydney when he was promoting the Henry's Dream album, which still remains my favourite. I'll have to have a listen to his new work, but yeah great energy and passion in his work.
