From what I've been hearing, the iOS 6 Maps app is terribad.

For all the problems iOS6 maps admittedly has, it has been miles easier to use for driving directions than the old maps app was. Automatically went to the next 'step' in the route when you turned the corner, whereas in the old app you had to tap the screen to advance which was not safe for driving.
Was the most painless set of directions I've had on the iPhone. Looking forward to voiced turn by turn though.

No more **** in Austria
Tarsdorf is actually about 3 km (~2 miles) away from ****. Except for the street names there’s no sign that this town exists.

Yeah, I did a test at my workplace (Bunbury city, non metro) and I got about 27Mbit down, 18 up, 68 ping to Adelaide.
I could play TF2 using my phone connection, and that blows my mind.

You can't on an iPhone. Not on my iPhone 4 at least.
Of which I find hilarious as iPods have this feature.

You can. It's just not as straightforward.

Perhaps I'll rephrase my sentence. You can't use the iPhone 4 as mass storage without jail-breaking it or downloading apps and programs specifically to copy/move files (something that should take only a few mouse clicks). It is amusing that iPods had/have this feature out of the box without all the retarded messing around.

If there is an easier way I'd love to know. Being able to use my phone as mass storage would be great.

My understanding is that with iOS Apple are trying to distance the user as far away from the file system as possible. Less access to the filesystem = less chance for people to **** things up. It's also not entirely necessary for the majority of users.

I agree though, using my phone as a 32GB mass storage drive would be pretty neat. That said, $22 gets you a dedicated 32GB USB drive so at this point it's hard to care IMO.

Personally it's more of a convenience thing though. You always have your iphone on you, so it's very handy. Although I guess you could just put a usb disk on your key ring...

that's like saying Ford should ship all their cars with the bonnets locked shut so that only authorised mechanics can open them.
