No AU server for the beta? How does it play with higher latency?

It will be F2P. From the linked page: "Once the game launches, you can use it to purchase weapon unlocks, bonuses, boosts, cosmetic features, and a whole lot more!"
I'm sure there'll be things in there for people to whine about. There's always something!

No AU server for the beta?

They're still working on the deal, as far as I know. I'm sure if/when the AU server goes up there'll be a lot of buzz about it.

Yep account active for beta. As a thank you they sent out a key to all those accounts to give out to their mates etc. Pretty cool.

Got a key from a friend the other day.

Wow this is good. It's looking like a ~30 square km map from what I've played, and the battle is raging on ALL of it. Joined a squad the just earlier, we pushed all the way up to the TR warpgate before they massed Libs and bombed us back to Dahaka. As far as lag goes...it's pretty bad during the day, but after ~6pm AEST it's bearable. I'd recommend it to anyone that can get their hands on a beta key - I've heard spamming twitter is a surefire way to get one.
