Antec High Current Pro 850W - ($209)

well, step up to 2011, add another ssd for raid 0 and swap the 7970's for 680 4gb's...

Could save money and drop the Maximus V Formula as it's very price over usable substance.

2011 Build
$289 - Intel Core i7 3820
$48 - CoolerMaster Hyper 412 Slim
$325 - ASUS P9X79 Pro Motherboard
$378 ($189x2) - Corsair Vengeance CML16GX3M4X1600C7 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3
$249 - Samsung 830 Series 256GB SSD
$55 - LG CH12LS28 12X BD-R Blu-ray DVD Combo Drive
$798 (399x2) - 670 SLi (If you don't want to deal with AMD)
$189 - Silverstone Strider 850W Gold Evolution ST85F-G-E
$2331

I would suggest that you get a NAS since it's for storage (5.4TB~ in RAID5);
$559 - Synology DS413 4 Bay NAS Server
$436 ($109x4) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 (Could get greens and disable parking ($105 instead of $109), depends on your preference of drives I suppose)
$995

Grand Total $3326
I think I got everything in there.

noice 2011 build,

What are you looking at on the maximus that doesn't factor for usable? I think premium boards have come a long way from being price over performance, looking at the offerings out at the moment(Gigabyte's sniper, the maximus, the extreme6/fatality, FTW etc) it and the G1 are pretty snappy, but the maximus seems to have all the bases covered, kinda reminds me of how the R3E was the goto board for 1366...

It's an overclockers board, it's not something that really anyone would actually use properly. I could list everything but I really can't be bothered.

I think that it would be best to stick with an 1155 system, 3770K, 32GB, 670 SLi, 256GB SSD, Dedicated Sound Card and Blu-Ray.

$175 - Silverstone Strider 750W Gold Evolution ST75F-G-E
$159 ASUS P8Z77-V LK
$339 - i7 3770K
$48 - CoolerMaster Hyper 412 Slim
$238 ($119x2) - Corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 16GB
$798 (399x2) - 670 SLi
$249 - Samsung 830 Series 256GB SSD
$55 - LG CH12LS28 12X BD-R Blu-ray DVD Combo Drive
$36 - ASUS Xonar DGX (Soundcard)
$2097

I would suggest that you get a NAS since it's for storage (5.4TB~ in RAID5);
$559 - Synology DS413 4 Bay NAS Server
$436 ($109x4) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
$995

Total $3092
Leaving you with just under a grand to spend on mouse, keyboard, and screen/s.
