I'm not sure if this is too crazy, but it could be handy to give someone an ability to build basic defence like sandbags and machine guns.


In Domination, Machinegunners have the ability to delpoy MG nests if they had an MG in their inventory. I could make a similar system.

I'm trying to think of very factional skills, for example, the OPFOR takistanis can deploy IEDs as their special skill and BLUFOR can do.... something that BLUFOR do..

Y'know basker, I've been doing some thinking about the LHD.. I think I should make a capturable one and script it so when you buy an aircraft from it, you'll get placed into the driver's seat and then catapulted off the deck.

The issue is though is that BLUFOR get the rush on it with their armed RHIBs, but OPFOR have almost every damned vehicle amphibious, so they win the late game, which'd be when you'd be air capable.

So, thoughts?

Hmm I was thinking it'd be more of an upgrade thing rather than a capture point but that could work too.

A few ideas or suggestions

make the mash marker in team channel so the whole team can see it
can ya make atleast 1 ai in vehicles an engineer? i always forget to get 1 and if they just came with the veh would make life easier.

The MASH Marker is MASH client only due to how it's set up, though, I'm sure, with a bit of wrestling, I could make it work over the network.

As for the engineer thing? No, if you wanted "Easy mode", you should just go play domination.

Just as in real life...the game tries to represent how it actually is......Drivers, Veh Commanders and Crewmen are supported by amongst other things, mechanical support. In this country they are known as Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers or RAEME.

If you forget to buy one.......too bad so sad.

They game is way too easy as it is now.....Eye of Allah, Veteran lvl 3rd person n00b mode, tab locking and 2 menu........ no need to make it more thumb in bum, mind in neutral.

Make the game hard.

It's a simulator, not a do it for ya..........

I have bouncing in my head the idea of reducing the fighting area so that there is more player to player contact both co-operative and hostile. The best fun moment are when you cross paths with an enemy player(s) and you have a nice little skirmish. For example, me and another player found blufor infantry north of Staroye the other day with me in a BMP2 and him in a T90. For the next few minutes we traded fire back and forth with the enemy, with me making heavy use of the 2A42's HE shells to keep them suppressed. Stuff like that is fun.

Typically I find in matches everyone mostly goes off and does their own thing after the first few towns if that. I remember when we had that large 50 player match there was quite a bit of team play and constant skirmishing between players which was great fun.

The Eastern side of the map would probably be the most interesting terrain to fight in.

Edit: Oh and one of the flaws of the linked example was that there wasn't any zone restriction so people could make bases and hte like out on the unoccupied western half of the map. With zone restriction this will not happen.

lol, it was a suggestion it really doesnt bother me too much but i heard a lot of ppl complain about it, so i thought id suggest it.

im not quite sure how u think that makes the game easier, as its not hard to buy an engie and u can do it from lvl 0.

perhaps maybe try to just say no and give a legitimate reason rather than be arrogant about it, im not sure how that would make the game "easy mode" or anything like domination, but if thats your attitude, so be it

i guess sugestions arent welcome here?

ill just stick to working around all the broken things u add to the mission.

The suggestion is not something I would call "dumbing down" the game, if anything Tow is refering to a system for managing additional crew for vehicles. With 2.073 there is already a system in place for loading extra weapons, mags and backpacks into the slot of the vehicle once its purchased. The same could be applied for crew. Its a smart way for managing a level of detail that is as mundane as stacking shelves, but needs not be that way in game.
