Can a moderator move or lock this thread?

Iron Front is a woeful game, and a disgrace to the ArmA engine it was built on, and anyone seen supporting it is just embarrassing themselves.

The game is completely stand-alone and not made by Bohemia Interactive. I don't see how topics on the game have any place in the ArmA forum.

The thread lives on.

I encountered a glitch in the opening tutorial and never went back to it, but there's some excellent mods for it and CTB/ABG get stuck into it every now and then.

I fail to see how it's any worse than ARMA 2. In some aspects i'd say it beats the **** out of it, just look at the tank damage system which is miles ahead of anything A2 or A3 offer. At launch it had some rather glaring omissions but it now has Battleye and most the major buggies have been squashed.

If you rate it down simply because of what the single player is like, you really are not getting the most from ARMA games anyway.

I will say that it would have seen more use as an expansion for ARMA 2 than simply a very obscure game that uses the engine and doesn't easily allow for modding, one of the mainstays for games like this.

Farcry, Left for Dead, Aion, etc. All games with own forum here and don't share forum with the engine/game they were built from.

Just because IF44 doesn't deserve it's own forum doesn't mean you get to lump the rejects with another game forum. If we can't even post slightly off-topic YouTube videos here, don't see why they should make an exception for Iron-Front.

I rate it down because the company that produced it, released it in a buggy unfinished mess with no server support, minimal content, and terrible after-sales support. They continually delayed patches, and released a content expansion long after the initial community (small as it was) had got fed up and left for good. Biggest waste of money I've spent, and I bought WarZ. Trashy games should go with all the other trashy games, in a general forum so they can be forgotten.
