Yeah I hate having to re-learn how to overclock again and again.
all I did for my 990x was bump the multi to 33, set the voltage at 1.375 and booted it up. It was stable so I reduced the voltage a step and tested did that twice more, got to 1.362 or something which gives me 1.376 according to cpu-z and it has been stable and cool. I read an overclocking guide on the newer i7's (skt 2011) and there is so much more you need to do. Still that is the joy of overclocking.

New graphics card (my old one died) and more RAM = higher score.

Needs more CPU overclocking perhaps?

Yeah I would say that in 3d 11 your 4ghz overclock is holding you back but not sure if it would make a great deal of difference in games.
If you have an aftermarket cooler on you cpu and the temps are good then I would say try to push for 4.5 to 4.6 keeping loads temps down to 70ish on the cores and see if it helps in games as it will in 3dmark for sure.

I'm currently in Hospital and needed a el cheapo laptop to past the time, so just for a laugh I benched it using 3d Mark 11. My home pc is an utter beast and scored near 40k on Performance but this laptop hasn't much grunt at all its specs are,

i7 3632QM @2.2ghz
Amd Radeon HD 7670
4 GB Ram

It scored,

Graphics Score = 1100
Physics Score = 5729
Combined Score = 1087

Performance = 1250

As I said I only benched it for a laugh I wasn't expecting it to score to well at all it also makes me proud of my home desktop seeings it got close to 40k making it close to 30 odd times more power lol.

Its a hot night still in Adelaide,.. 2:51AM and its still 29*c outside, for most of the day my room has been 30+*c so as its going to stay hot I figured find out what my new Gigabyte WF3 7950 can do OC'd & Stable.
I think I got plenty of headroom when its a little colder, too hot to try further adjustments and stay reliable.
