Spec Ops The Line demo. Very interest, very pretty and very fun. Me wants teh full version now! :O I assume all the stuff where you're meant to regret killing people happens in the full game because it didn't feel any different in the demo. :P

Yeah, for sure. Spec Ops The Line is all about the full story. Highly recommended. And there's some excellent prices on CDKey sites.

Hint hint.

The Walking Dead game writers have been reading far too much Game of Thrones - Life is cheap and there are no guarantees, awesome stuff.

Really sad I couldn't take advantage of that 40% off sale before it was too late. T_T Was there a similar sale when episode 2 came out? Hoping they do one each time a new episode is coming out.

Played Mann vs Machine and it was quite fun but it's annoying how limited it feels. You have only 6 or 7 mere matches, only 3 maps afaik and also matches don't last long enough/there's a very low potential amount of money you can get so you're not really able to upgrade much.

Playing ME3...

Hidden: show
Just passed the bit with Thane and Kolyat in hospital. T_T

This has to be one of the best series ever. I don't care how **** the ending may be, it's about the journey!

yea colsey, the journey is great. They did a bit more to tug at the heart strings in 3, but it didn't feel as immersive and as fragile/important as it did in ME2 for me anyhow. I felt kinda hollow the whole way, disregarded the team members i was given, and hung out with my survived crew like a total victim.

Loved the play during Tuchanka and Rannoch, i wish thessia and earth had been as well written...

I might have to wait for more dlc, then do a re-play. ME3 was ok, but missed that badassery that ME2 and parts of ME had.

Also, Oh-HO without masterball, oooooh yea....

still gotta find out if a 3dsxl will fit mah man mitts

Yeah, it's hard to live up to ME2. It was such a well rounded and immersive game. I went through ME1 then ME2 in succession a few months ago and then tried ME3 straight away. At the time I didn't get sucked in like I did the others. I recently re-started ME3 this week and I'm really enjoying it.

I am having a problem where it won't connect to EA, so I can't use the DLC :\

Impressive! I'm doing a HeartGold run at the moment. So much more fun than the new games. Gen II was really the best.

Noooo! I started playing again and it's way better than I remember! I even like all the stupid social aspects. Lots of freedom, lots of beautiful cars and plenty of awesome racing.

Currently playing F1 2012, stay tuned for a GoN preview :)

The physics are bleh and the sounds are just so very wrong (you never noticed how much you like sounds in car games till you have crappy ones). Wheel and FF are way off. And on a side note, whats up with the voice acting and script? And why is there voice acting and cut scenes in a racing game? The licensing system to learn how to drive is odd for an arcade racer, especially since you had to race before they make you go to the driving school. It pretty much feels that it took a step back in every direction from the first.

I loved the first so much and this is just super disappointing (still :( )

I also recently found out that Atari are banning game modders too (car skins, sounds, etc).

Anyone know much about the SKATE (3 I think) game (on PS3)?

Seeing the release of Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD on PSN has made me nostalgic, but I have heard THPS HD isn't that great as a HD release. Have seen multiple copies of the SKATE game down at the local EB Games, but with no prior knowledge of that series any feedback on it would be great.

Looooved the early Tony Hawk games, and remember spending nights just playing the demo with mates while all drinking far too much alcohol. Any first hand feedback on THPS HD on PS3 would be welcomed too.

I'm a massive fan of the skate series and have played all three. It's very different from TH with a focus on a semi-realistic approach. The Flick-It controls means you hold down on the right stick to prepare for the ollie, then flick up to kick the board up. By varying the shape of the flick you perform the different tricks (and tweak with shoulder buttons and so on).

You can easily spend hours just skating lines throughout the city, it's incredibly relaxing in free-skate and suitably challenging in the career.

Online is broken however. Skate no longer has servers but 2 and 3 do and you'll find a massive amount of lag.

I've just previewed F1 2012 if anyone wants to read up... http://games.on.net/2012/09/f1-2012-pre ... e-license/

Cheers 'Mellie. I think I might have to give it a go then, seeing as they have a few copies of what I believe was Skate 3 sitting in a bargain bin. Is a shame PSN don't give a demo of Tony Hawk HD, I so badly want it to be great as I loved the first two TH games, just not hearing a lot good about it.

Nice write up on F1 2012, and you do make a good point with the restrictive nature of the F1 licence. Personally I'm not a fan of Code masters, but if I happen see it in the video store I may give it a try for a night.
