BP is so awesome with friends... thanks to the PSN allowing you to let two other people download your content (if they login as you) and play it concurrently (under their own profile), I bought one copy and my mates and I played that copy for months.

Been playing through HL2. It's good enough/intriguing enough to keep going, but... eh. I've been driving on a coast for ages. Just got the Antlion spore though which is kind cool.

Started Toy Soldiers. Really cool 'TD' game. Annoying though I can't get it to run at more than 1280x720 (although apparently it can go as high as 1080p.

Also started The Darkness II tonight. **** awesome game. Has a Dark Messiah 'feel' to it. I think I'm really going to enjoy this game (and replaying it over and over which is a rarity these days).

I really enjoyed that game, total pleasure to play, something awesome about throwing light poles at people and impaling them, or ripping them in half. Om nom nom tentacles.

Had the same thoughts when I played it. The game is good and fun, but I didn't find it the holy grail of gaming everyone said it was.

Yeah, I picked it up on a Steam sale - rather taken with it, the post-processing does a great job of "aging" the visuals. :)

Dark Souls time again and I'm stuck on the Crossbreed Priscilla.

I've watched a tonne of vids but cannot replicate what I'm seeing. I run around, wait for her footsteps then run in and slash and roll away... have managed to hit her 6 times in this fashion. Problem seems to be she never strikes from where her footstep is and I keep taking massive bloodloss damage (usually all but killing me with one hit).

Suggestions? I've got the fury sword and am wearing the stone armour set (but with the mask of the father and havel's ring to keep me under 50% equip load).

grab the blood shield, block her attacks with it, use blood moss, or leave (you can leave the painted world without fighting her, and return) and get a bloodbite ring.

fire will make her appear, your sword should be doing that, otherwise try some pyromancy (fire tempest and the likes will make her appear) there is a spell called 'fire surge' in the painted world, it should be exactly what you are looking for.

if you are still having trouble, summon some help, there's always people willing to smash her puny tail to help you.

Well, pretty shocked that Transformers: War for Cybertron appears to finally be on (Or back on) AU steam, and it's currently $5.

Even if it's awful, I've wanted it for a while so I'ma give it a go :D

That's how I feel about everything Valve touches but HL2 in particular.

I've been told it has MP on Xbox which sounds like a lot of fun! Too bad nothing yet on PC, although they're still actively patching it apparently.

I'd have to agree with you there (D:). I've put a fair few hours into their other games (TF2/CSS/1.6/Portal). Whilst they're all good games, they're not particularly spectacular. I suppose I'm not really a fan of the source engine and how it feels most of the time though.

It's actually not bad... I enjoyed the game for what it is. Sure it's no goddamn masterpiece but for that price who's complaining? Hell I paid $40 for it on xbox and got my money's worth. I might even get the sequel when it comes out this month.

TF2 and Portal 1 and 2 rocked. Just not Half Life.

It's actually really fun. If anything it's only problem is it's generic levels. But being able to blast Decepticons as Optimus Prime makes up for it.

I have to disagree with Portal, I feel that it had the same HL style of being overrated. For one thing it was NOT funny (Portal 2 was but not the first). Secondly the gameplay was great and unique but I felt the variety was lacking. I also didn't like the second half of the game when you 'escape'. Portal 2 on the other hand felt largely empty and tried too hard at many things (mainly story) and fell a tad flat on many of it. It also lacked any real challenge with all the puzzles being extremely easy (imo). They were both novel games but not the holy grail of gaming.

TF2 i'm just not that into but I loathe what they did with all the hats and random weapons.
