Yeah that color thing has never worked that well for me half the time it's red and half the time it's yellow with a question mark...

Mine was green until I put in CBA Build 175 then turned yellow.
Still get into the server fine.

Is there any chance that the SMK animations mod be added to the server?

Sorry but no. Allowing people to fire from almost total cover gives a major advantage to one user, which means it wont be allowed on the server.

Not really an advantage when someone who isn't running the mod simply sees you as standing up rather than your fancy animation on your side... it's been tried before elsewhere and is in my opinion a buggy piece of s*it that isn't worth your time. It's like that SLX .pbo that let you fire AT from a prone posture but on other clients you'd be standing up.

gives a major advantage to one user, which means it wont be allowed on the server.

Here I was thinking that was essential criteria for being on the server.

GON and players should upgrade all their mods.

I just realised that GON is still allowing v1 signed keys for all mods, which was cracked ages back.

Can we please start an upgrade plan for all the allowed mods, and get players downloading newer bisign files for the mods?
CBA (old versions)
TGW
SDP cannon fix
etc, etc.

Then after sufficient notice, GON can force v2 only sigs.

Anyone can create v2 keys, but it should be trusted 3rd party (not a player, no matter how trustworthy). Six Updater does it for example, probably the best way to go.

Every mod GON accepts is backwards compatible with v1 keys. That's a bad thing.

  1. Identify which mods do not have v2 sigs available.
  2. Attempt to contact mod author on BIS forums.
  3. Submit them to Six Updater network so Sickboy can generate v2 bisign keys and bisign files (maybe even make available on SU).
  4. Educate GON players where to download the new mods. Give them a deadline. Use server MOTD.
  5. Change verifysigs=1 to verifysigs=2 in the server.cfg
  6. Force all players to download newer versions of the mods.
  7. Force players to use newer (less buggy, exploitable) mods, and everyone else can enjoy a more secure server.

Can we upgrade the server to the beta plz.

One of the betas changes the port of VON and until the server is updated VON can't work for uses that upgrade past that beta which means a lot people that upgrade to betas or play DayZ won't be able to use VON

Hey i cant get my Blastcore_Visuals_R1.2 to work in the server it keeps on kicking me out :( help plz

Not having a go but this must be the 100th time I've linked to these fixed keys, more importantly why hasn't Opticalsnare done something about it sigh.

Hey is it ok if we can get this mod's server key on the server. its just the ARMA II Builtin Menu actions Infantry

Before mod restrictions you would often see a player dancing or doing handstands in the base.
