I regret not going to Uni when it was easy. Ah well.

Time to buy a "No Soliciting" sign for my front door - I am sick to death of Electricity/Phone/Gas companies and the Jehovahs Witnesses door knocking.

I regret dropping out of Uni because my girlfriend at the time got jealous about some friends I made there (I'm talking **** psycho jealous)... Mind you, they were hot, so at the time I understood :P

Ahhh young adulthood, so many stupid decisions.

We are the same age, go back now. It's much more fun after you have worked before because you watch people talk about how frustrating work is and here you are sitting at the computer in your underwear at 11am on a Tuesday. :P You can convince your partner that it will workout best for the baby as you'll home all the time.

I kicked around for near 10 years after high school, before I decided I would go to uni, started my degree at 27. It was awesome, the better paying job I have now as a result of going to uni, easily offsets the lost income from not working full time for 4 years.

Also you get to laugh at people who are straight out of high school and suddenly it's all on them if they pass or fail.

Obviously it has challenges of its own going in as a mature age student, and I was fortunate to not have any real debt before starting so I had the freedom to go, but if you can manage it, and you want to change your career, or even just jump it forward, I think it's well worth it.

Can't afford to cut my work hours to study, kudos to those who can but my wage is piss poor enough as it is - I wanted to do some distance education courses but they were going to cost me 2 or 3 grand each and I don't have that sort of dosh laying around either :/

Edit: Beat me to the punch Makena, I'm not lucky enough to not have any debt.. still paying for the mistakes of my youth

Ironically what I was doing back then I'll be doing in a different way (hopefully) later! Time will tell.

Crazy crackers.

Meh, as long as you work your required hours, it generally shouldn't matter what time you leave. Like you said, it's not a problem unless leaving early creates extra workload for others. People at my office start as early as 7:30 and leave at 3:30, myself I start around 8:20ish and leave at 4:20. My problem is co-workers who seem to never be able to work a full working week..it's always leave early one day and not show up the next.

I can work for 11 hours straight, no lunchbreaks and work saturdays as well. And i look like a lazy lazy **** compared to my dad. The guy is a machine...

Yes, but it's your family's business, you're expected to work a shitload harder because at the end of the day its your life and legacy... Whereas I work for a company of 45,000 where I am but a small cog in the machine.
