I haven't been getting any steam content from the Internode mirror or any other local mirrors in ages. It's been killing my quotas as I've recently downloaded over 10gb worth of games on steam. I'm guessing Internode only mirror Valve games like HL2, CS:S, DOD:S and such...

The steam news post implied they'd enforce the 24th release date for non-us regions. They may not be stating the non-us ship release date on purpose in the hope that people will pre-purchase thinking they'll get it sooner.

I wouldn't be surprised if you'll have to wait until 5:30am AEST on the 25th to get it off steam if you're a non-us resident. They did the same thing with Jade Emipre with all the "Play as soon as it's released" crap and it really pissed me off.

I've put $20 down for the collectors edition at EB. I'll be taking Friday off work, plugging in my caffeine drip and pulling out the porta-loo to play it through in one sitting. If it is released Wednesday morning I may grab it off steam instead, but I don't have much faith in their releases since the Jade Empire f'up.

Anyone else watched the demo walkthrough? I thought it was rather cool.

Pre-Loading on steam and judging by the speed, i'd say i'm getting it through Node as usual...

I could be very wrong though. I'm not one for technical knowledge!

FYI US east coast is 13.5 hours behind us which makes it 8:30am Adelaide time.

According to the counter on Steam, I can play it 6AM on Wednesday AEST

So, Steam is getting a demo now?

And we were discussing the release date of the demo, hardly relevant really.

It's great when I get blamed for passing on information I've gotten from other people.

2K Games sent out a message saying the game would be released at 5am Sydney time tomorrow morning. If that's incorrect, I'll take it up with them.

The ETQW keys I explained what time midnight was in that timezone, and the keys would be handed out "some time after that".

I am surrounded by world clocks and have various websites I check my times with. My maths isn't that bad - but apparently my sources need a little work.

Someone at 2K Games probably thinks the US is in front of us instead of behind.

I though that US get the game on the 21st, where as uk and aus get it on the 24th (friday), and i think that steam counter is for the US release, wether or not steam buyers in aus get it at that time i dont know.
