Hi guys and gals

My BF4 crashes every 15min, I have the newest drivers, I have reinstalled punkbuster and I do a fresh reboot and only run origin incase of conflicts and I still get constant frequent crashes to the point where I cant finish a map. Any ideas?

Does it just freeze gun? or give an error ? So it plays fine for 15m then crashes? I'd try the fix in my previous post , or maybe roll back drivers and try another. I'm running latest nvidia drivers though with no problems.

It gets stuck on the last frame with sound loop and I have to bring up task manager to end task. I lowered graphics from ultra to high and it lasted a whole extra 10min!! I guess I'll try low now... this is frustrating as you miss out on so much bonus XP

Temps aren't getting to hot.

Is it the ivy bridge cpu.

Have you done anything in BIOS like assigning shared memory.

Like already mentioned are there any error messages as it's hard to pinpoint without them, having a second monitor to watch the programs while playing can be really handy.

If you get GPU-Z it has a log feature while you play to log how it's running.

Do you have software to monitor and log video card, cpu etc:

Temp could be an issue but the first sign of that is texture tear and I get none of that. It is the ivy bridge and I havnt touched the BIOS in any way. No error messages come up. Ill try the GPU monitor hopefully its something simple... although I would be quite upset if the GTX770 is overheating.

Where do you have the monitor plugged in the video card or the CPU/onboard. <-- highly doubt this but thought I'd ask.

Have you looked in bios to make sure it's not set to onboard.

Card stays at 78 degrees... I don't think this should cause crashes but Ill get a fan blowing on it and let you guys know how it goes.

Just crashed at 68. I'm would have thought this would be a more common problem but I guess it's only me getting random crashes here. I'll look around but thanks for the replies anyway.

Is the game itself just crashing or computer as well. I guess your still not getting any error windows. :(

Do you think it could be one of these.

Battlefield 4 Sound Looping Crash Fix
First things first, make sure that your GPU drivers are up to date.

If you are using any third party programs like Nvidia true audio, uninstall them to see if the crash goes away. Also, if you are realtek user, check on the manufacturer’s website to see if there are any updates for your hardware.

Battlefield 4 DirectX Crash
First thing you should do is remove your directx and do a fresh install. You can also try out the following workaround:

Go to the control panel -> clock, language, and region -> region -> administrative tab -> current language for non-Unicode programs -> change it to English(US).

Same issue as bishopz just a lot more frequent.

Slayer I'm hoping that directx fix works ill give it a shot later because levelling up is impossible atm, you unlock so much only to crash and revert.

No error messages, just task manager to close to desktop so it's just the game. Although on occasions I also just get kicked from server and "something went wrong" is the detailed message I get.
Ill try the directx reinstall, if not the audio attempts.
Thanks

Have you tried the "repair installed game" through origin, it fixes any corrupted or missing files?

I know it's a pretty standard thing but might be worth a shot.
