The smart solution would be to either completely sack the existing admin team for being incompetent/uninterested in the game, or at the very least recruit some new admin that are involved in the server on a regular basis. There are some brilliant guys that used to play on the GoN server, it wouldn't have been hard to recruit new admins if they wanted to. Shutting the server down is a cop out.
