If Assetto Corsa keeps the great fundamentals of nkpro, and adds onto that in all other areas, it will be a stand out title without any doubt.

definitely! I still have hopes for Project CARS but nothing beats NetKar for the feeling you get in the car.

Definitely agree, for me nkpro has probably the best driving feel of any sim ive raced. Particularly the open wheel cars.

Project CARS i havent tried (need a bit of a pc upgrade to really give it a go) but if it can create something that drives as well as it looks then thats a great thing for all sim racers. The more awesome sims out there pushing development the better :)

sorry i should have been more specific.

apart from the bland looks, I didn't get any feeling of 'motion' from that video at all. cars just seemed to slide in and out of turns, everything just felt... blunt and dull.

There is a thread about the game here somewhere that i made and contains a handful of vids. Given its nkpro roots it like to be the least floaty of any sim, in nkpro the feel of the big chunks of "rubber" in each corner of the car is outstanding through the wheel.

well this NetKar Pro and it probably looks bland and dull too, but wait till you drive it, anything but. The feel you get while driving this is better than rFactor, better than iRacing, better than anything not parked in an F1 team garage. EDIT: admittedly its not without its shortcomings of course (otherwise why isn't it more popular :P ), the net code isn't great, the car and track selection is limited and the graphics are dated but that of course is where Assetto Corsa comes in.

P.S. I downloaded the latest build of Project CARS last night because I haven't played it for a couple of months and I wanted to see if it had improved to a point where my dissing is unjustified and unfortunately it hasn't.

The Download link at the WMD forums leads to a thread about the new launcher. That leads to a download link which then leads back to that thread about the new launcher.

Link plz :D

updated... after so much Codemasters F1 recently, really didn't dig the open-wheeler. Took a touring car around Bathurst which was fun.
