Was late for work today because I was carving through the first chapter with my engineer.
Got to level 17 and killed the Regent boss.

Loving the loot in this game! :)

Note: If you're not going to use your 1st provided skill the game gives you, remember to respec out of it before level 10.
I made this mistake, and now have a wasted skill slot :(

I thought they refined the system in that you can reclaim your last 3 allocated skill points now and they did away with the whole level 10 limitation?

yeah but even so, if you're level 17 the default first skill point selection wasn't one of the last 3 allocated was it :P

Only with the way I play... I made no effort to research what build I was to have in Torchlight 1 and subsequently never spent a skill point until just before fighting Ordrak. You can get away with doing that in Torchlight because of spells. The fireball, zombie summon and heal all spells are a great combo. This got me through most of the game.

I suppose I can now use 3 skill points throughout the game until I make up my bloody mind which skills to use - lol

What diamondd said.
It's a pretty fair guess that by the time you've reached level 10, you would have obtained 9 skill points, and likely used more than 3 of them.

All the cool kids have Torchlight 2 !!!

It is great fun

Because of the "OMFG we didnt expect this game to be popular and our servers cant cope with the load" (Didnt D3 / GW2 go thou this too)
issue , we have been playing our Steam copies in LAN Multiplayer coop mode with Tunngle (freeware VPN with ads) .

No hamachi doesnt work via LAN but Tunngle does. I suggest hosting your server in the RPG-Torchlight 2 [AU] room

Thanks for the Tunngle tip mate. Glad to know my bro and I can play online if the TL2 servers go down at any point.

No problem

I checked OCAU , Whirlpool , Steam forums and Runics twitter

From that found out game is getting hammered with account creation and the server isnt available
but people found hamachi didnt work , but this free tunnel thing did .

Played it for 4 solid hours via LAN with myself (In QLD) , 2 other aussies and one American on iiNet ADSL2 AU connection

Hnnnngshhhhhhsoooo good.

What's everyone else playing? I'm an engineer with a main cannon, spider mines and healbot buddy. I've specced my bulldog to be a tank so I can sit there raining fire and robo-spiders into combat. It's basically the best.

Well this crept up on me quite quickly, really got out of hand.

Suppose I should buy it.

Demo is out on steam which is good to see . 1 day after retail .

Still major issues with the account server and linking with steam , so still limited to LAN mode via VPN currently

Playing a war mage I guess . Mage with fireballs and lighting , but with a hammer and shield

Just started my first character, a backflippin' Outlander with rapid fire shotguns and Bunny, my li'l panther.

I like the style of this game more than I thought I would...good fun.
I have the body of an 18 year old.....I keep it in the "SANDBOX!"
