BORDERLANDS 2 IS OUT :D

The FPS and RPG had a baby! A huge gaming world, four classes, annoying robots, co-op mode, and more guns than ammo. Borderlands 1 and 2 discussion!

What sucks is that a fully working pirate copy of this went live at around 6pm yesterday. We still have to wait till tomorrow however.
I'll never comprehend the staggered release dates. They serve no purpose at all.

I may aswell be the first to say it, it's simply has to do with retailers.

Or so I'm told.

I don't know how much I believe that, but it's honestly the only real explanation. I would of used the word "reasonable" but there's nothing reasonable about this.

Distributors. Can't see any reason why a retailer wouldn't want to sell a game they have in stock.

I've heard that retailer line before too.
I think it's a bit of a cop out to be honest. People that were going to buy it in store will buy it in store, those that want to buy online will buy online. I personally wouldn't buy a store copy, even if it was out a day or two before the digital copy. I don't need or want boxes/discs/manuals/whatever. I know other people do want that junk, they love it, so they'll buy retail regardless.

Worldwide releases aren't uncommon these days and it saves people getting annoyed and making countless whinge threads on countless forums.
It also increases sales as I now personally know more people than I can count on one hand that have already downloaded the pirate copy and no longer have any intention of purchasing the legit version. Why would they bother when the pirate copy is out 2 days earlier and is fully working, including online play?

I myself have already activated my game via VPN but it's not playable unless connected to the VPN the entire time or playing solo and I have no interest in playing either of those ways.

Tomorrow isn't far away, it's not the end of the world. But this staggered release nonsense seems to cause more problems than it solves.

It doesn't really cause problems, it just causes anger.

Hidden: show
Pirated games are always hassle free, hardly any are released with problems and if there are it's patched within the day. Far better support than the game's developers themselves which is just pathetic.
I seriously don't know why publishers and developers can't get though there heads that the world isn't fragmented any more, it's connected by the Internet and everyone knows what's going on, more than ever with MyBook, FaceSpace, Twatter and Youtube.

Though this is all a separate topic of discussion.

So ive spent 90% of my time at the slot machines on sanctuary haha I think I heard in an interview that they run with real poker machine algorithms which explains why I play them so much.

Does it feel like Eridium is slightly too common, I've already upgraded my Bag Slot twice and some ammo SDU's

Played 3 hours of, so awesome, and my computer appears to be handling the game a lot better than I thought it would.

I wish TL2 was out, NOW, so I have something to do whilst my co-op partners are, you know, doing real life responsibilities.

I was tempted to take Thursday-Friday off work but I can't. Far too busy, it's not fair :(

I'll have to give it a short burst after work for two days then go hard on the weekend.

There are slot machines? What do you win? More cash or prizes?

Nah Eridium isnt too common from my experience. I've collected 9 in 5-6 hours and you seriously need the bag slots and ammo space, have frequently run out of ammo as a gunzerker.
