Servers were actually down from Saturday.

Yeah that sounds about right, I'm pretty sure I haven't been able to play since Friday night/Saturday morning, I forget.

I've had good look through at what I can access, and haven't found a way to improve the situation, sorry.

I have sent a request to the appropriate authorities. Its a bit difficult at the moment because every update seems to break something, mostly the format of server configs. Will try and keep you apprised.

Dedicated servers are a thing of the past and GoN is more focused on news articles is my guess

This is really baffling to me. Apparently the updates bork the server config files by changing formatting, yet there are other cs servers that are running fine.
It cant be that hard to keep things working. Whats more, there would be steam support for server admins ( i know uglypunk used to talk regularly to valve/steam about updates n stuff) who needed help to get things configured correctly.

Somethings wrong in this scenario, either no one has the time to work on the cs servers or no one knows how to keep them running.
