The FPS and RPG had a baby! A huge gaming world, four classes, annoying robots, co-op mode, and more guns than ammo. Borderlands 1 and 2 discussion!

Add this proxy to it; 198.101.218.217 port 80

Profit. Its free.

Just as an FYI, Steam's terms & conditions specifically state that using proxies/VPNs to get around regional restrictions can result in Steam closing your account. I haven't heard of it happening to anyone yet, but personally I'm not going to risk losing over a thousand bucks worth of games because I couldn't wait 48 hours.

Well fair enough. Technically its not a VPN and if it happens I'll plead ignorance as this program is more like "incognito browsing".

Cas: did your BL2 stay unlocked?

*opens steam again*

 It's just region locked it's self, "This game will unlock in approximately 1 day and 9 hours".

Certainly was unlocked when I made this topic. Oh well, looks like they fixed the glitch. No more play button here :)

Yeah, but then we get screwed over both ways with pricing. As for the release time, it's not our fault the US is in the wrong timezone and is behind the rest of the world... They should just set a generic GMT release date for everyone.

This...

Besides, I've still got to wait for my multiplayer partners to get the game, so I may as well wait.

Wouldn't using a VPN to unlock games you've already bought be fine? Doesn't the EULA state you can't purchase games from other regions? Since you've already bought it, it's technically not breaking any of their stupid rules.

EB hasn't even shipped my loot chest yet. I was heartily depressed (can you be heartily depressed?) at the thread title. So glad it turned out to just be Steam playing silly buggers.

The Steam Subscriber Agreement states:

3. BILLING, PAYMENT AND OTHER SUBSCRIPTIONS
...
A. Payment Authorization.
...
You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, we may terminate your access to your Account.

The first point about circumventing geographical restrictions could mean games that aren't available for sale in your region, or it could mean games that aren't yet released in your region. It's somewhat vague. Although, the point about using proxies for "any other purpose" covers the whole lot.

I'm just going to wait.

I got the same, except it says 8am Thursday.

****.

I'm going to see if I can talk them into handing it over tomorrow, considering some people already got it.

I didn't wait and played a bit of co-op with a friend, the lag was terrible since I wasn't hosting it. Ended up being around 700~ms.

But that's because you were playing through a proxy/VPN, right? Not because the netcode is attrocious or anything.

...Right?
