During the Gulf War the Iraqis would apparently leave microwave ovens on with their doors open, wasting plenty of SEAD style missiles :D

TBH, it's not really going to be easy to get a good balance between flares, mwses and manpads with the massive differences in effectiveness.

I said last night... remove metis and give OPFOR Jav... that's a bit weird though, and homogenous blah blah blah. The Metis is pretty awful though.

I hope that last bit is sarcasm?

Only being able to use the deployable TOWs/Metis would be a nice change, since both the jav and metis are supposed to be crewed weapons anyway..

Getting only backpack compatible units in the mission would be irritating though. BAF woodland on cherno instead of marines, and annoying-voice takis on takistan instead of russians...

Yeah I think I saw our HQ take a sabot yesterday, and all that happened was it lost its tyres

It's russian's secret weapon, rubber seeking projectiles.

I was actually toying the the idea of making the target practice tanks build-able in the repair truck for $500. They're tab-lockable and all.

Get a bit of Ruse india.

CORE now has a Dev-heaven, so now you can pitch ideas for the mission here: https://dev-heaven.net/projects/warfarecore/issues/new

Keh?

In other news, work on 0.6 has commenced, with CO 1.63 coming out soon, and the CCP affecting quite a few warfare features thanks to yours truly. You'll be seeing some nice new changes, like the potential return of the SMAW HEAA, SPG-9, some inventory balancing and some other neat inventory things.

The balance will be changed up a bit too, with Metis having a max range of 2KM, the NLAW a range of 600m and quite a few minor changes that affect warfare in big ways.

As always, you can check out the features slated for 0.6, or suggest your own here: https://dev-heaven.net/versions/1376

Just out of curiousity, will you ever fix up the inventory screen when it comes to putting **** into backpacks or buying ammo/weapons directly into vehicles?

Fix up? What do you mean?

Current CORE doesn't use anything from .072+ BE. The new gear menu is nice and all, but there's a few faults and exploits that it brings too, so thus it's not changing until benny irons those out.

Beings as Benny isn't replying to my emails, he may be dead, or on holiday (gods forbid he doesn't like me!). So who knows how long it'll be till that happens. Benny currently can't keep his mind made up on what he's doing with Warfare anyway. Flip flopping 1v1v1 and all.

Benny had fixed up buying things into backpacks so that anything could be bought into backpacks provided that class of backpack could fit the item in question. Also added buying gear directly into the cargo of vehicles, both are very very useful for infantry orientated players.

The newer gear system will have to be ported to 71. I'll see if it can be done.

As per this link: https://dev-heaven.net/issues/70164

I'd like to point out a massive difference in the health of the deployed MHQs. The health of the OpFor deployed MHQ is ridiculously high, requiring a staggering 14 TOW missiles before it is destroyed. In comparison the BluFor deployed MHQ only takes a measly 6 Metis missiles.

Utterly unacceptable given the current levels of base hunting that I'm seeing at the moment.

Are you talking about the static launchers?

9 MAAWS + 6 TOWS for this HQ but I may have missed some shots.

Yeah I'm talking about the statics, but regardless the BluFor MHQ has significantly lower health and this needs to be changed. Either increase Blu or decrease Op.
