Today I discovered that I recieved an e-mail on Friday through the work system, which I am unable to access elsewhere. It was to let me know that I had an optometrist appointment schedualed, booked by the medical section for me. The e-mail was sent after hours. I was not at work on Friday because I was off shift. The booking was made for that day, at lunch. It also stated that I was required to notify them at least 24 hours in advance if I was not able to make it, and that the paperwork contained in the e-mail was to be taken to the appointment.
I sent them a reply today when I saw it, asking them to explain why this e-mail was sent almost 5 hours after the appointment was scheduled to happen.
