I was one of the lucky ones who got it for $16 and all I did was gift it to myself, its just sitting in my inventory waiting for when I install Borderlands 2.

I try to install it and it tells me I have to own Borderlands 2 RU (I assume the RU is Russia?)

Yeah I did it the first day. Just went to manage gifts and gave it back to me. Had no problem. That's **** if they are now saying you need the RU version. Not your fault they screwed up but looks like they are trying to make it that way.

I have just sent Steam Support an email, with links to this thread (in case they are assuming I purchased this via VPN), and can clearly show them my receipt that shows it has no RU at the end of Borderlands 2.

I bought the dlc when it was cheap, and it sat in my inventory till i added it to my game (retail from ebgames) on release day.

I purchased the game as part of the 'Ultimate Loot Chest Edition from EB's' and the season pass through steam as per this thread.

Sounds like a stuff up on their part, not an attempt to screw anyone, given that mine installed no problem and i can see it in my DLC list and i have exactly the same source for both game and dlc as you did.

On a tangent... i didn't get my artbook in the loot chest, ebgames were supposed to contact me when they got them as apparently they were shipped seperately.No contact yet...
I remember something about a digital download of a comic being in the advertising at one point, but cannot find any reference to it with the chest or code cards.

I got the artbook in mine. (which finally showed up Friday morning, just in time for the weekend thankfully) The whole loot chest deal is just a little bit of a mess, looking on the Gearbox forums there are quite a few people with missing items. They obviously needed a better system for putting them together.
