no WA servers

hi,

the GamersUN WA servers have gone down for one reason or another (when I asked they said iinet wouldnt let them use the datacentres anymore or something) and now people in WA are essentially left with a few MvM servers, a 24/7 2fort server and i think some CTF mapvote server

back in the day 3fl #03 was the **** and I was hoping for a revival of sorts since GU won't be getting a WA server again any time soon

preferably goldrush/badwater as that's the most popular (full the majority of the time). also #03 seems to still exist but its passworded and it's been renamed to something stupid?

but yeah basically we have nowhere to play tf2 under 70 ping now so I was just hoping something could be done

#03 has been returned to the classic days of Goldrush/Badwater, over and over again, until the end of time. Enjoy.

How fun.. suffice to say that's not what happened at all, but I'm not going to get into a public slinging match.

I believe Mr Funko is restoring #03 to its former glory right now.. after some other admin, mad with power, locked it out and gave it a stupid name.

games.on.net #16 (Gold,Dust,Bad,Pipe,Hoo) = 150.101.172.77:27015. It's never changed.

games.on.net #15 = 150.101.172.67:27015 became an MvM server

yo dudes thanks a ton for putting #03 back on its normal rotation, really enjoy having <20 ping again

only problems at the moment are that it will spike every so often (not ping, just freeze/unfreeze everyone for like 1-2 seconds at a time) and the server seems to crash on mapchange (this has happened once when changing to badwater, where it started changing, dropped me at sending client info and then when i rejoined it was back on goldrush)

if you guys could look into that it would be awesome

as for #04, it would probably be populated a lot if it were goldrush/dustbowl but thats a pretty terrible map rotation.. we used to have #05 custom maps and i think it was a great_heights_b2/3 24/7 server at one point, which would be awesome but probably not as popular

Let me know if it does that again please, new plugins installed tonight has hopefully sorted that, I didn't reboot #02 at the time I updated, as it was populated, so after the crash it would have rebooted on the new plugins)

Not here to report any new issues, if your still getting the same server problems as what we faced last year you might want to look at the hardware. Eastern state 3fl servers are on new hardware they all run perfectly.

just wanted to sign this thread, we need some decent perth servers

the gamersun servers are now gone

3fl #03 is still currently crashing and resetting the same level at the end of every round as of yesterday.

node should put up a goldrush/badwater perth server and everyone will be happy

the only good perth server we currently have is games.on.net #16 - 150.101.172.77:27015 but unfortunately the map rotation is not conducive to consistent numbers of players in the manner that goldrush/badwater are

consistency is the key to creating a good and sustainable community, and at the moment it is all over the shop. we need one good server where we can constantly bring everyone together, that is reliable and they know it will be there, and it will be running when they want to play
