Yeah this thread is useless without figures. Theres a few of us with considerable figures but we've justified it in some form or another. Even if you say something like $2000 I'd be like, "fair enough".

So yeh, tell us the amount !!!!!

Spends too much money on in-game items.

First world problems.

Holy christ! I've spent like $4 on keys and the $40 I paid for The Orange Box when it was first released :o

Wait, did you actually throw up or are you misusing the word literally? Because if you actually threw up

Fair enough ;)

Share with us what you got out of that. What did you spend it on? Link us to your backpack! In the end if you can afford that money and it's not hurting anyone, then enjoy it. It's not like you're breaking into houses or robbing old ladies to fund it...right ;) I mean people blow more than that on pokies and have even less to show for it.

But I understand if you think enough's enough. I'm done with the Mann Store for now as I've got few big bills coming in and a overseas holiday at the end of the year.

I tip my Max's Head sitting atop a Towering Pillar of Hats to you sir.

As Ralph suggested please do share what you spent it on / what you got out of it :)

Are you a trader in the for-profit sense? (as opposed to someone like me who trades occasionally but only for items I want to play with)

ETA: How much did you think you had spent?

I wondered how much people were spending. I wasn't playing for most of the Mann Co period, but in the last month i've spent $35. I don't plan on keeping that spending rate up though.

Regardless, I will quit because of the time TF2 consumes long before I quit because of the money it consumes.

goosmurf wrote:I can't speak for everyone but I view my spending as a voting mechanism. If I like something I'll pay for it even if I don't have to because that spend is a way of saying "I like this, do more of this thanks".
That's how I've always seen it too. You can have any opinion you want, sign a million petitions, vote in elections, protest things, but in the end the world is listening mostly to your wallet (Though those other things are important too of course).

majority was new items and especially tools like tags, paints etc. Alot were keys also to try and unbox unusuals. One was a eerie panama back in Oct, recent one was a orbit planets bonk boy, which I traded them up for hearts unusuals because I'm a sucker for hearts.
Either way, I'm not buying a single thing, regardless of temptation.
As for backpack: http://www.tf2items.com/id/ziadaine

In saying that, I have a bit of a problem with fashion and thats one of my annoying OCD's: way things look.

I'm genuinely curious as to how anyone can spend $1000s on one video game.

Again, if you read the thread no one is doing it all in one go. They are spending these amounts over 2 years.

Are you saying you cannot afford $10-20 per week to spend on something that is not a necessity?
