Regular Users Permissions

It would be cool if there was a permissions group for GON members that play on the server regularly.

The permission group should give the regular members a few more things like an extra home the ability to use URL's is the chat and other stuff like that.

Copy and paste solves your url problem. Copy the external link from a web page open up the minecraft chat and hit ctrl v to paste it. It should show up.

As for the extra home all depends on what plugins are installed. But why would you need 2 homes :p

It removes the periods / replaces them with a space. If you were to type: http://google.com, it would become: http://google com, in MC, therefore no one can click it. You would have to earn the right to be able to post linkable URL's.

If you have 2 homes, or a mine. To go back and forth is a little annoying, you may be bunking with a friend.
It's in essentials, the permission node just needs to be changed.

Just a few little things for the regulars to get over the randoms that rock up, the server used to be whitelisted, ahhh those were the days. The names in green would be cool too. :P

This would be a good idea. What would be great if it could somehow be linked to MCMMO so that when you get to a certain skill level you automatically change to this new category.

My only reservation is that I have been on servers that have ranked systems and often they can be quite oppressive and frustrating, basically making it really difficult for new players. So as long as it isn't overly extreme I give this idea my support :)

It's too easy to get mcmmo levels to make that viable. It basically should work how the old whitelist worked, if you're signed up to the forum and you read it (or just the Minecraft section) and you can prove you understand the concept of how everything works.
Most Minecraft servers have a couple groups with the guests having lower than regulars. Maybe have it based of time played too, if you're in the top, say 30% for hours played, then you'd be a regular.

I don't know about that. If it was connected to mining level 200 for example, you have to spend a good few hours on the server which demonstrates some kind of commitment. You're much less likely to be a **** if you have even spent as little as say 5 hours on the server. That's just my opinion though as for me it's not so much about rewarding the regulars as demonstrating a bit of commitment before allowing noobs to have full reign.

I was level 250 after about 3 days, a few hours each day, I just found a few nice ravines and ran around through caves digging up all the ores I could find.
Not to mention I'd also started farming and I was 3rd in money with ~1.5 million within that time frame too. After I reached level ~300 in mining I didn't really have the need to mine anymore, I'd found enough stuff to keep me settled for the time, and I had ~$10 millions, with ~2k diamonds. Granted, I didn't do it all alone, I had help from Mr. Zero there.
I found mcmmo levels too easy to gain, except the fishing one, that was a pain in the ... :?

Anywho, I do see your point though, since mcmmo has an API, it wouldn't be hard at all to make a plugin to read its data and check the power level of people, say 1k? then promote them to a 'regular'.
Although it is all up to the admins on how it would be done, if it were to be done at all. I don't really see Hydra jumping at the idea, well, maybe toward us with a cricket bat, threatening to kill us if we don't stop complaining.

All in all, it would be nice to have a few more (pretty trivial) things. It's not a huge deal to ask for, just a couple things to those who can prove themselves, and to show they don't need an admin to hold their hands like most of the current occupants of the server.

One thing that would be awesome would be chat channels, so the regulars can switch to it and not have to see all the other rubbish going on. :P

You're doing well! After playing most days since the MCMMO was put on I only went up to level 150 or so with mining...

It seems we agree on the most part however :)

A second home would be really good.

I was thinking more that when admin's think they can trust the player after playing for a few months or something they could add them to the regular / trusted group.

The URL's would be the best I think because you know they are not going to spam everyone.

90% of the links I post are links to this forum. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to do that.
