Hmm, I thought that having no internet presense under my real name, no home phone number and a new address virtually every few months would mean that scammers wouldn't get the chance to annoy me... and now I get a letter saying that Readers Digest wants to contact me about a $500,000 Sweepstakes. Never had any contact with Readers Digest before. E-mailed a scan of the letter and envelope to the legitimate Readers Digest customer support to do with as they will.

Interesting thing is that the letter was not delivered via post. No address or postage marks on the envolope, so the scammer had to have delivered it by hand. Not really any hope of identifying them I suppose with no security cameras and living almost at the top of the complex, but still gives me something to look out for if I see anyone delivering mail.

I subscribe to Readers Digest, and the amount of **** sweepstakes mail that I get is beyond belief. I don't open any of it, goes straight into the bin. It must cost them a fortune.
