Just had a lovely experience while leaving work. I love it when people try to be a smartarse about something they actually know nothing about, and make themselves look like a twit. Seriously, don't lie in an attempt to overstate your intelligence, especially if your going to be found out the moment you open your mouth.

Haha, all good.. a screw driver and a hammer got me going again, but then my crimping tool died in the ****.


So I'm stuck now until the Mrs gets home so I can go and buy another one

Finally... Town is back to normal after being converted into a winter wonderland for 2 days by Hugh Jackman's lot...

Well, it's installed, just need to put the car back together now but its raining and I CBF. New speakers, new head unit, new wiring for the speakers.. it sounds not bad, doesn't go much higher than normal listening level without the speakers going crackly (checked the earth, NFI what else it could be as I expect it "should" be able to go louder). But whatever, at least I can listen to the radio!

Hey disco ..
Im going to assume you have brought apropriate speakers for your deck/amp...
Is it one speaker or all speakers ? (fade/balance to isolate and try each speaker)
You have wired it all with correct polarity ?
How close are the speaker leads to the power leads ?
Any chance your new leads are shorting somewhere on the chassis ?
