A lady I work with gets migraines, she pays a fortune for the medication and they only ever give her a few tablets at a time.. what a pain in the ****, wouldn't you be better off having a box of them for when you need them than having to make a doctors appointment every damned time.

all the migraine drugs are like that.. i have the same.. its because they are so strong, they dont want you to OD on them, etc. and although you get repeats, you cant get them filled until 16 days later or something.

edit - when i had that migraineyheadache that lasted 4 weeks, my last resort was oxycodone.. usually comes in a box of 20, but the doctor prescribing can limit how many the chemist gives you, i got 10 (took 5 over 3 days for that damned headache, keeping 5 for a rainy day) - really uber powerful stuff oxycodone.

its like watching a hyper accelerated version of evolution;
watching lots of companies just closing shop up all around as conditions are changing.
its pretty bad.

The only medication I take is Seritide for Asthma prevention, and it annoys me that I have to have a script for it, but Ventolin is available over the counter.. sure I can get repeats, but I still need regular doctors appointment. I think the theory was that they would do an asthma prevention plan each time, but in reality they take your money and give you a script, and you're in and out in 2 minutes.
