I never said she wasn't (I would in fact, pound her with the fury of one thousand suns going super nova).

Just the deliver of some of her lines was so cringe worthy. When she's told that it's 2012.

"No... I HAVE A SON AND HE HAS TO GO TO THE DENTIST!"

I understand that it's poor writing as well, but Christ it was terrible.

I actually thought that was quite believable, for a woman coming to terms with the fact that her entire life has just disappeared and is clutching at straws.

Sure, it might sound silly, if you have zero empathy or understanding of the incredible loss she would be experiencing. It not a rational reaction, it's completely irrational (and understandably so).

I guess that's why I facedesked when I read that line just then. 0_o

As I've never been flung into the past I guess I don't have an understanding what she's going through.

I thought it was decent, so I'll keep watching. I've liked Rachel Nichols in some of the other stuff she's done (GI Joe, Conan), and I thought she wasn't too bad here either. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it is only the pilot so hopefully it will improve.

I certainly enjoyed episode 2 more than the first. Acting seemed to have improved also.

Although the, "Cease fire is over" line followed by her proceeding to miss absolutely everything did make me laugh.

Hopefully this improvement continues, could be something good!

I had a chuckle as well.

Yep I'm actually interested in Alec's family, there must be something there to do with the story considering all the awkward looks and scenes.

Well there you go, don't know if I like where it's going but it should be interesting.
Though I don't get what they're doing with the the whole 'continuum', it's very strange how they've messed with both theories of time travel (it happened already, you're just going through the motions and you're changing the future).

Definitely rounding out to be one of my favourite shows.

It's definitely improved. I almost switched off on the "gaming" episode though.

sorta yeah. instead of the focus being set in depth (z) its set across x or y, so basically a narrow strip. you use a tilt shift lens for this, but it can quite easily be faked in post by by a mask layer, and just blur portions of the image. however you can only fake it on images where everything is in focus, or else it just looks wrong.

all of the stuff in this show has been faked in post, and it looks horrible.

Sanctuary is was fake, nearly everything took place in a green room (which saved money apparently, obviously not enough).

The Listener (another Canadian show) has the processing added to it, according to wiki neither have a similar production company so Canadians must just love the look or something :P

I don't mind it too much, they've stopped being so heavy handed it with as the show has progressed.

I thought they only did that for the pilot/webseries but went to traditional sets when it became a real TV series.

have you ever watched sanctuary? there's no way they dont green screen their sets.
