3FL Minecraft Server

I've recently decided that we will completely reset the server for the 1.3 update. It's called the Wild West server for many reasons, one of which is the wildly arbitrary admin decisions.

immediately request my home to be copied. worst decision ever imo.

and i would like it to be reviewed by a GON staff member.

Bad news: The existing policy of not making the 3FL MC world files publically available still stands.

Not giving out the world file isn't a new policy, neither is resetting the world files when a major patch is released. You are well aware of both of those policies as you've been playing on the 3FL server for some time.


Just so there's no confusion...

The 3FL Minecraft server is a PvP server.

I don't encourage anyone to build something on that server that you want to preserve indefinitely for the world to see. Things tend to get blown up, either by players or by world resets when major patches are released. I can see how losing your stockpile of 10 billion diamond blocks is a set back, but levelling the playing field is also an opportunity. Show everyone how great you are at crafting mines by getting back on top of the food chain once more.

If you don't like that idea, then the games.on.net MC server has a lot of rules/systems in place to protect people who just want to build stuff without worrying about losing it.

We've kept both servers running because they offer two completely different Minecraft experiences. Feel free to play on either server, or both if you feel like it. As long as you remember that your conduct on each server has to follow the rules of that server:

i understand all of that and admire your political response.

heres my response. only a draft so please be kind.

1.3 is not a major release.
10 billion diamond blocks is inaccurate. 1901 is better.
we preserve our buildings just fine. perhaps you've seen our video?

there's no doubt in anyones mind that we're on top.
we own the coordinates to all major factions on the server.

and have not been rewarded for a competition which we spent at least 100 hours on in total.
it is also featured in the video. the least you could do is allow us a private world download.
i dont care if all items get wiped, but allow us to keep our home. its, scuse my french, effin brilliant.



perhaps we could have it copied onto the GON creative server. if a nice admin would allow it.

Funko remember to be thorough when wiping and to make sure all player files are deleted to ensure everyone cant /home to 50 billion blocks from spawn, thats what happenend on clonny's server, the /homes were kept on the new world

Thank you for the reset. Can the nether and the end be reset as well. This way everything is fresh. All the player profiles home deleted.

This has made me lol reading this so thank you. The only thing I found for a shop to work would be a permissions file put on. I know there is one floating around somewhere on the box.

@parm and soup. Your problem you had yesterday with a lovely players language will be dealt with around 10am aest :p when I get home and have a few minutes to deal with his lovely racial comments.

Edit. Glitching through the nether roof in 1.3 to travel a million blocks away will earn you a ban.

Edit 2: will set up a temporary spawn where ever spawn will be. Until I find a new home for it. More than likely in some snow biome.

Edit 3: your welcome parm. Oh and funko can you throw me back in the admin file if you clear that (no need to clear it just saying)

minecraft.3fl.net.au has been updated to 1.3.1 and a new world has been generated.

None of the mods have been updated, so for the time being it's straight vanilla Minecraft. Oldschool.
