Wanted: Steam Unmetered Games List

hey, i was wondering if it is possible to get an unmetered games list for steam, because i want to download 2 games and together they are 21 gigs.

Unfortunately, no, that's not really possible to provide, as content server providers have no control over what's hosted on them or not.

You can try using http://www.ausgamers.com/services/steam/ and see if any of the iinet family servers come up, but that information may be entirely unreliable.

Now, if you check your usage constantly you will find you may have lost some quota, but wait until it resets next for it to give it back. Sometimes the usage count updates before the data can be reissued.

Steam limiter for whatever reason didn't work for me during the summer sale. Most downloads went through metered.

...and just to recap, that doesn't work correctly with the largest source of unmetered content that Internode provides via http

After reading the changelog, it sounds like they are making progress, but still haven't nailed it:

Well Internode suggest it, and it has always worked for me. I have only used it 3 times though.
Maybe i've just been lucky?
Would it fail to restrict a metered connection or block an unmetered one?

Node seem to update their 'unmetered IP's' list every day or so, so it's quite likely that their (SteamLimit) list isn't getting updated as frequently, granted they run off URL's, so they'd get the live IP from the CDN. If you want to be sure, just let Steam start downloading and check the IP in Resource Monitor (or something better ) then see if it's from an Australian server, if it is, then the data will be unmetered. The filters differ from ISP to ISP, but I'm just guessing you're on Node?

I bought (was gifted) many games over the Steam sales, and have bought others in other times and I haven't had it fail on me. Had a couple 'suspended' downloads, but they started downloading after an hour or so, I guess they found them on a server that I could download from. I downloaded ~120GB in Steam games (last month), just from the sales. My Steam folder is (just over) 350GB. All of it unmetered, I <3 Node.
