Spawned in for the first time in a long time, was on a small island, the lighthouse was miles off to the left of me... crossed the water, town was FULL of zombies. Despite crouching and moving sideways, a zombie heard/saw me from 100 meters off and brought a herd down on me.

Sad times.

moose are you playing with krew, monkB etc?

I got TS details a couple weeks ago but have been working crazy hours and only playing in the morning, will jump on tonight to hopefully try playing with other people.

It's started to get boring just surviving in the mountains alone with no goals :P
Repairing that tractor and cruising around without aim was my only project :|

Ugh! Just logged in and it was on "Loading" for ages so I go afk for a sec... come back and hear footsteps right next to me, jump on chat "Oh **** I was afk! Friendly!" ... thud.
I thought my bush NE of NE Airfield was safe...

That person has a bounty of big Coyote Pack, M9, G17, AKM, M24 and all the base equipment bar GPS. :(

Respawned, got myself killed for a better spawn... tabbed out and opened steam, tab back in "You were kicked from the game."
And now I get kicked every time I try to join... ffs... this game...

Last night I was unsure if the server bugged or someone decided to cause me to instantly drop, break my leg, and make me start to bleed out (Was not moving at all, just crouched talking on TS).

As I watched, looked as if the entire server began to have the same treatment, as a flood of names of people dieing all popped up at the same time.

Not sure if this was the server bugging out, or if someone was doing the dodgy in there :(

Yeah, I got it running again by Verifying Cache of both Arma2 games in Steam and updating Battleye...

I'm actually glad I died, and enjoyed dieing 3 times more in the last hour... spawned in Elektro and it felt like CS the amount of people around, died myself eventually.
I just got out of Cherno moments ago, after some tense moments with others in the area... I've left without any murders and a decent weapon and some equipment to get me started.

Yeah but next to the edge is very easy to spot just by doing a lappy, previously teams would stash their chopper 20km into the badlands and it would be impossible to find but now if you even leave it slightly too close to the border it can despawn within a day.

DayZ is challenging?

That's news to me.

depends on you're definition - raiding an airfield on a full 50 server in the middle of the day - I'd call that challenging.

This. But it's pretty easy if you use any of the numerous dupe glitches and log out/server hop :P

Much more fun if you don't glitch/hop or generally have no balls :D

Funny story about server hopping actually. I later found out the guy that shot me and mysteriously disappeared had actually logged out after engaging me first, which is why I wasn't taken down in the ample time it took to bandage/morphine.

It *really* needs to stop :|

Our fun last night (well technically part two of our fun, but still need to do some editting on part 1.

Ori is the one who was shooting the 50cal, and FrAUdie was also running around with us tonight.

I've been using DAYZ Commander for the last couple of days (alternative to six launcher)

one thing I've been told you can do... if you're on a server with name tags on and you manage to catch their name.

if they DC, you DC also, and add their name to your friends list, it will then tell you what server they jump onto next. Simply load in with them and continue the shooting.

I haven't tried it myself, but worth a shot.

off topic - this grocery store had a sh*tload of loot, nothing good tho...
