Apparently my survivor is equipped with a teleporter too, logged out in Cherno.. re logged into Otmel on an island, with all my gear >.<

Heh, just ran like fifty meters from my new unexpected spawn, only to be told by a group of 5 americans that I should get down on the ground so they can help themselves to my stuff.. uh, no. So I died.

This game has actually kind of stopped being fun between bugs and assholes..

Just located someone's chopper crash farming setup on ANZ 7. They really need to do something about the farming of loot spawn. These guys had;

3x DMR
3x M24
2x M14 AIM
2x Bizon PP SD

Along with a shitton of mags for all of the above in two tents up the hill from the crash site.

Going to raid it with the full squad tonight...

Nice, not sure if its a version issue or not but I can't play ANZ servers anymore, in fact they don't even display in my browser.. I only seem to find US servers. Chock it up to another "something is broken" I figure. Just respawned, **** location, ran into zombies to die, will wash and repeat until I hit cherno.

Do you use "Six Launcher" to keep up to date? It's either that or you have a filter applied in the server browser.

If you use Six Launcher, simply make sure you have your OA path configured, and the beta button and "force beta" button ticked. Use Six Launcher at least once a day to make sure you're up to date.

Internode's ANZ servers seem to no longer be doing their own seperate hive (as shown by me being on ANZ 7) so it looks like we've now got more room to play :)

I've been using DayZ Commander, but I'll give Six Launcher a crack, if I can get another decent game in I'll manage to resist the burning urge to uninstall the game and pretend it never existed.

AFAIK chopper spawns wont respawn, it's one set of loot per crash, per server restart, or did that change?

Lost my DMR today after a big firefight due to my backpack not saving after I looted my victims m249 (headshot their sniper, out foxed the gunner and made their second sniper run away). When I logged back in later in the evening my pack had reset to 2 days ago and I still had the SAW (with a single STANAG magazine rather than the 2 boxes+ mags I logged out with) :?

The artifacting on the corpses in the NW airfield and the fact that I had just had a 50 minute sniper duel in one of the most viciously contested zones in the game made me forget my golden rule.... "always log out holding the weapon you least want to lose".

Was about to log out tonight and my partner hears a DMR shot in the distance, we go for a looksee and track the shooter back to his camp (without ever seeing him ROFL) and there's a good 8 tents containing:

3x GPS
2x M14 AIM (partner took one to match his m24)
2x M107
2x Bizon and 3 mags (so tempted but i have our only SAW atm)
2x AS50

I snapped up all the GPS units for friends and took myself an AS50 to replace my lost DMR, **** replacement really but it's the best I can do till I find another DMR. Pretty solidly convinced that the camp belonged to hackers, it was a decent distance from anywhere that will spawn a GPS (they dont spawn in crashes) and that's a LOT of farming to end up with 3 spares (+ their own) which they had to shuttle to **** nowhere.

Taking the boys back tomorrow to go shopping.

My duel was pretty golden though, logged in with crashed Huey 50m in front of me behind some trees, about to move down when i see a flicker in the distance, a guy getting chased into a fence line by a zombie(must have been 600 yards +), followed by machinegun fire. I get my STA on until he goes loud again and I see a sniper run into a hangar and shortly after a multitude of tracers fly out.

Guy goes to loot a zombie and he gets shot in the head from 550m and I'm in basically a PERFECT position, I'm convinced he had 2 guns and just switched between them insude but I wait a bit and the zombies arent despawning... there's a second guy...

I spent 15 minutes moving around eliminating hiding spots ( i have him trapped in a hangar remember) and watching the player count before I decide he HAS to be behind the right side of the front wall of the hangar, **queue me sprinting across the airfield and aggroing every zombie before throwing a smoke grenade at him... ** he panics and starts shooting and I just strafe out and snap him in the head.

As I'm moving to loot an AS50 shot cracks past me(brb zeroing rifles is for scrubs) we had a little bit of a shuffle around with my trying to find his exact position (he missed me 3 times before i got to cover) and he got psyched out and left. I feel bad about hiding their bodies but screw it, logging out when you're losing in a superior position is a dick move.

May have been the same situation you just described then, hackers afoot.

Just had a near-death experience moving from that crash site to Orlovets. As I move across a gap in trees along the ridge of the mountains, I suddenly start taking fire from a silenced weapon. He managed to knock me down to 2k blood and break my leg, however I manage to get behind a tree stump and let off a few DMR rounds. I didn't see where he was so my rounds were more fear factor. Didn't hit him and he managed to score another 2 shots and knock me out.

But he didn't make sure I was dead...

I recover @ 400 blood and somehow managed to get up, bandage myself to stop the bleeding and administer a morphine injector. Ample opportunity for the assailant to finish the job. They are nowhere to be found... strange, he had me dead to rights... Anyway, footed off down to Orlovets where Nomicakes is waiting for me, gives me a blood transfusion and we head off to Berezino Hospital for some antibiotics to stop the coughing.

Head out west and we find no less than 8 tents in the forest, all packed with assorted gear.

It seems North to North-East is the place to be.

Rule #2 of Zombieland - Double Tap. You think it's dead (technically it was before you shot it), one more makes 100% sure.

I'm not usually one to complain about hackers... but had a lengthy session of about 4 hours tonight and got hit by hackers 3 times. - this would make about 10 in total now in 2 weeks of play

***Just tonight***

we all teleported to a random location - everyone... then people panacked and started shooting... insta alt-f4

spawned in on different server... all gear, normal spot

next up about an hour later on a different server... everyones teleported to the airfield and the test welcome to the hellhole or something, everyones got hatchets... insta alt-54

spawned in on a different srever... all gear, middle of the airfield

and the thing that ended my session tonight, coming back from the northwest airfield, i was exiting the lower hanger, 2 buddies eyes on me suddenly shout 'theres a dude directly behind you' - a guy in camo i'd never seen before 1 meter away, vanished, reaapeared then emptied a clip into me. Both my buddies shot and hit him but not a single **** was given and he continued looting my body as if nothing ever happened.

hacking is utterly rampant right now... I cant believe people enjoy it - takes all the fun out of the game if there is no challenge.

Oh well on another topic - my mates rented a US server which we've been playing on for a good week and a bit now. a quick shot of our base...

and my pride and joy (I've claimed the title of squad pilot)

The concept of fixing up a chopper scares me a little now, it's so much work and you can't stash it out of bounds so ANYONE can stumble onto it while you're asleep/at school/working, seems like it would be easier to just steal one.

we struck it lucky somehow - we spent a couple of hours scavenging scrap metal and a rotor assembly, we managed to repair it everything greeny yellow, expect for the fuel tank which was leaking. We then had the massive task of filling it up, but somehow through jumping in and out of the drivers seat and it 'reset' with everything green and a full tank. Score :D

What do you mean you cant stash it out of bounds? Ours has been sitting on the edge of the map quite happily for some time now...

depends on you're definition - raiding an airfield on a full 50 server in the middle of the day - I'd call that challenging.
