Partly for the lols. If someone somewhere got a laugh out of it then awesome.

But also I too liked the news threads in the forums. Some of the best conversations were had in news posts. I don't really see it hurting anyone, and since it's not an offical news post it doesn't really matter about getting off track now. GON has the front page and comments and now it is here for people to discuss if they wish, if not then the threads can die an honorable death.

But Marius, if it makes you feel better I can put my own spin on it.

Huh? It's not meant to be negative or positive. It's just what I thought would happen. If the forum 'article' came first people would see it first (obviously) and a discussion would occur. However if someone recreated a GON article people would see it as redundant and some would take issue with the copy/paste job as well as there being an official place to discuss the article already.

Ahahaha, yeah true, someone will get fired for that It's a shame really because it's only going to encourage people to pirate the game rather than pay for it. I intend on buying it just because I want to send a message of "hey you look after me, I'll look after you" for releasing it on PC and not leaving it as a console only game.

Also because of the way steam works with social media stuff, people can see friends pre-ordering and not realize the price hike if they chose to wait a little longer. It's hard to imagine that this is just someone forgetting to shaft us again, since it happens so often with steam pre-orders.

Except they're not looking after us by not doing the port properly (using GFWL is just one of the many issues I have with this port).

To be fair I think the majority of the posts saying make your own threads was Makena. This is also what I said would happen, people would come and be all unimpressed by replicating news articles.

I'm still considering continuing to put them up in the forums actually. I'm on here enough and could probably keep up with the news updates. And since it would now be a user made thread, you don't need to worry about what happens to them or how they turn out.
It seems like a lot of people like it and haven't had any objections from any of the Gon higher ups. (excluding Marius).

I'm all for them being put on the forums, when whoever does so, wants to discuss it further. Duplications are pointless without anything to give a need for a forum post.

I also don't think 1 person should be doing it, if you have nothing to add to the topic, why are you making a forum thread for it? It's not like you're reporting the news, it was already reported on the front page.

I just think it'd be better if in the first post, you did what you did, but then added your thoughts on the matter, if you've no thoughts to add, don't duplicate the news. (This is what I was telling people to do, but exe3 didn't get it then, and still doesn't get it now it seems)
