Seriously? After endless threads breaking down to "the news comments system is not going to change, you're welcome to start threads to discuss the news in your preferred venue (ie. the forums)", now the tack is "no, don't do that - it's spam". I like having the news articles brought to my attention via the forums - I'm not going to see them any other way.
Not particularly impressed. :/
To be fair I think the majority of the posts saying make your own threads was Makena. This is also what I said would happen, people would come and be all unimpressed by replicating news articles.

Which people? That's news to me... admittedly, the sub forums for the content links were rarely used, but that's an organisational issue.
Pretty much. It wasn't the users who stopped using the subforums, it was the news crew. Everything got lumped into General News after Chienne and co. left for who knows why and I for one wasn't happy but what I wanted to see was the news get placed where they belonged again, not for the whole system to be scrapped.
Also anyone else realize we're giving James heaps of ammo for his offtopic arguments? >_>
