Got mine and having had android tablets in the past this is probably a close to an iPad in terms of smoothness you can expect. Haven't tried any games on it yet but video playback is pretty darn good. However still waiting for a mod or patch to allow mounting USB sticks. I think there is one but haven't looked into it yet as it requires rooting.

Screen is quit e nice and sharp, limited backlight bleed too which is good, and no it hasn't fallen out yet.

Picked up mine from EB this morning on the way to work. Haven't noticed any issues so far with the screen :)

Now the next question is, where can I get a cover for it?

Dick Smith according to a post on Whirlpool (would link it, but Whirlpool keeps crashing for me lately)

Edit: Now with link https://plus.google.com/u/0/10945083203 ... MNdEH1GkCh

Mine was on board for delivery today, However nobody was home so it was re-scheduled for tomorrow :x Alas I phoned FedEx and it seems they will now retry for delivery later today :D

Edit: Idiots tried to deliver 30 mins after I called them when I clearly asked for after 2pm. Oh well, back to tomorrow for me :x

And you expected more from FedEx? :-(
Sometimes I think if some of them had even half of a brain cell they'd be dangerous.

I'm still trying to decide if I can justify getting one of these bad boys, I've got an Android Tablet already, but another sure wouldn't go astray, especially since it appears that i've cracked the casing on my current one.

For a quality case that looks kinda cool maybe try the Treegloo one?

Found this thread on Whirlpool for accessories.

Got mine in the mail today, and it's pretty. Very fast and the screen is clear and easy to look at. Only downside I can find so far is that EA games haven't been updated to work on them. Hopefully they fix that soon.

edit: I got Dead Space installing by copying the APK from my SGS2 over to the Nexus 7 via Airdriod. NBA Jam and PvZ crash though.

Just a quick necro to see peoples thoughts on the Nexus now that you have had them for a while. I am thinking about something small/cheap for a few of my ebooks and emags. Anyone want to share their opinions?

I had a look at the Nexus 7 at Dick Smith and it looked like an oversized phone compared to the Transformer Pad TF300 next to it (even when you don't take into account the keyboard dock).

I guess my time with the TF201 and its 10.1" screen has left me feeling that 7" tabs are too small.
