I was swapping graphics cards out the other day to test an old card b4 i gave it to a friend. Went all good no problems reinstalled my 580's and went about my day.
The next day my pc just went black turned off, I pulled it apart and seen the burnt pins ( 12v ones in the top left hand corner ) had a go at cleaning them up and tried turning it on.
It works
Been having that itch for a while now anyway.
As for the cause i'm guessing i may have bumped it and made a bad connection, since after cleaning it runs just fine its just fairly mangled now and isn't an optimal connection anymore.
So 2 things anyone got advice on replacing psu atx connectors I've never done it but i'm gonna try since it's a 1000 watt antec, and secondly i noticed some new motherboards like the asus rampage formula IV have extra pci-e power on the board on top what the slots and cards have themselves. Is this because of problems like what I've had ?
