Ubisoft - Uplay broken.

Couldn't find this anywhere on the forums.

The new update for the Ubisoft - Uplay system is locking players out of their games. At this time there is no way to fix it and logging a support ticket is well not really helpful at this time.

Password reset will not fix this. Sigh.

Trying to setup a Steam Clone and failing very hard at it. Its thing like this, that should be tested before a updated in sent out to the players at large.

I don't think they know how to fix the issues at this time.

Why am I not surprised that it's Ubisoft failing with their DRM?

I guess their reputation can't go any lower right? RIGHT?

Currently there new Uplay site is down. Maybe due to the number of users trying to reset password/login/etc due to the issues with the new uplay PC client.

No updated on twitter via the uplay or Ubisoft feeds.

A heads up about any downtime or issues I through was a standard that any good games company would be doing.

Uplay site is back, might not be for long tho lol. 4 hours and still nothing lots of people raging hard on the Ubisoft forums at the momnet.

I don't understand why Ubisoft feels the need to continually validate my reluctance to buy any of their PC games; The last hundred times was enough. Maybe someone should send them an email?

Played HoMM earlier and noticed the new uPlay ****. It spent like 5 minutes trying to sync with the cloud before failing to do so, then I could finally play my game. Why are they even bothering..?

Normally I try to keep an open mind about DRM and see how things are like before harping on, but having bought Ghost Recon Future Soldier on Steam, the fact that I have to piss fart around with another log in process is just annoying.

Yeah i bought Anno 2070 on steam, i cant create an account. First encounter with ubisoft DRM, so far i'm not impressed.

Also when i bought it on steam i was not aware that uplay was required and its not shown anywhere on the steam page that it is required. Just says broadband connection for registration and multiplayer.

We are aware of service issues, Uplay launcher is not working. Our teams are working hard on bringing the services back online.

So it only about 12 hours of people spamming the Uplay twitter account they decide that something is wrong.

No word on how long this will take to fix.

Edit: There is now a petition requesting they removed or do something about the uplay system with about 400+ people signing it so far.
