I'd buy that for a dollar, aka Robocop (2013)

You know you're getting old when your childhood movies are being remade. First Total Recall, now this.

Looks impressive, last time I watched a Robocop movie I was an angsty teen and punched some holes in a wall during a disagreement >.<

Was only a matter of time, remakes are easy money compared to making a new and different IP. Will be interesting to see if they do it justice.

It's as if thats the only creed hollywood has these days, "hey this was brilliant twenty years ago, lets remake it!".

Looks cool. I'm not minding remakes of cool 80s/90s sci fi stuff.

I was never big into Robocop. We'll see how this goes.

If they're going to remake it, it needs to be:

1. Ultra violent. None of this watered down T.V. series **** in order to sell toys to kids
2. Needs to contain parodies on the consumerist culture and events of the day. 6000 SUX or Sunblock 5000 anyone?
3. Have a guy in a bulky suit. No CG **** where Robocop is super-agile and graceful. He is a tank goddamit!

I'm with you wiggum . Robocop 1 & 2 were fantastic and violent with all the cheesy ads. It was downhill from there.I will watch this as I loved it as a kid.

In a way I believe it's good to see "some" movies being remade just to be able to see it with current advancements in filming, CGI and actors who have developed some skill (there are "some" decent actors around) since the 60's, 70's and 80's.

We all have to remember though.. just because they are remaking a movie we grew up with or has cult status doesn't mean the original dies.

We can always find the original and watch it again.

Even if the remake turns out to be utterly **** it will make us appreciate the original more and more and if it isn't **** then it is a bonus for us!

Honestly though.. I do wonder how much longer we can go creating "original" movies before we have to resort to remakes of everything, if we stop and think for a second and try to create an original movie in our minds.. we can't. Everything has been done before.
